There are SO many uses for this stuff that I’ve started replacing the cap on the hydrogen peroxide bottle with a sprayer because it’s easier and faster to use that way.

I have compiled a rather impressive list of uses for 3% hydrogen peroxide that I hope will have you as thrilled and bewildered as I was!

Wash vegetables and fruits with hydrogen peroxide to remove dirt and pesticides. Add 1/4 cup of H2O2 to a sink of cold water. After washing, rinse thoroughly with cool water.

In the dishwasher, add 2 oz. to your regular detergent for a sanitizing boost. Also, beef up your regular dish soap by adding roughly 2 ounces of 3% H2O2 to the bottle.

Use hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash to freshen breath. It kills the bacteria that causes halitosis. Use a 50/50 mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water.

Use baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to make a paste for brushing teeth. Helps with early stages of gingivitis as it kills bacteria. Mixed with salt and baking soda, hydrogen peroxide works as a whitening toothpaste.

Soak your toothbrush in hydrogen peroxide between uses to keep it clean and prevent the transfer of germs. This is particularly helpful when you or someone in your family has a cold or the flu.

Clean your cutting board and countertop. Let everything bubble for a few minutes, then scrub and rinse clean. (I’ve been using it for this a LOT lately!)

Wipe out your refrigerator and dishwasher. Because it’s non-toxic, it’s great for cleaning places that store food and dishes.

Clean your sponges. Soak them for 10 minutes in a 50/50 mixture of hydrogen peroxide and warm water in a shallow dish. Rinse the sponges thoroughly afterward.

Remove baked-on crud from pots and pans. Combine hydrogen peroxide with enough baking soda to make a paste, then rub onto the dirty pan and let it sit for a while. Come back later with a scrubby sponge and some warm water, and the baked-on stains will lift right off.

Whiten bathtub grout. First dry the tub thoroughly, then spray it liberally with hydrogen peroxide. Let it sit — it may bubble slightly — for a little while, then come back and scrub the grout with an old toothbrush. You may have to repeat the process a few times.

Clean the toilet bowl. Pour half a cup of hydrogen peroxide into the toilet bowl, let stand for 20 minutes, then scrub clean.

Remove stains from clothing, curtains, and tablecloths. Hydrogen peroxide can be used as a pre-treater for stains — just soak the stain for a little while in 3% hydrogen peroxide before tossing into the laundry. You can also add a cup of peroxide to a regular load of whites to boost brightness. It’s a green alternative to bleach, and works just as well.

Brighten dingy floors. Combine half a cup of hydrogen peroxide with one gallon of hot water, then go to town on your flooring. Because it’s so mild, it’s safe for any floor type, and there’s no need to rinse.

Clean kids’ toys and play areas. Hydrogen peroxide is a safe cleaner to use around kids, or anyone with respiratory problems, because it’s not a lung irritant. Spray toys, toy boxes, doorknobs, and anything else your kids touch on a regular basis.

Help out your plants. To ward off fungus, add a little hydrogen peroxide to your spray bottle the next time you’re spritzing plants.

Add natural highlights to your hair. Dilute the hydrogen peroxide so the solution is 50% peroxide and 50% water. Spray the solution on wet hair to create subtle, natural highlights.

According to alternative therapy practitioners, adding half a bottle of hydrogen peroxide to a warm bath can help detoxify the body. Some are skeptical of this claim, but a bath is always a nice way to relax and the addition of hydrogen peroxide will leave you – and the tub – squeaky clean!

Spray a solution of 1/2 cup water and 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide on leftover salad, drain, cover and refrigerate. This will prevent wilting and better preserve your salad.

Sanitize your kids’ lunch boxes/bags.

Dab hydrogen peroxide on pimples or acne to help clear skin.

Hydrogen peroxide helps to sprout seeds for new plantings. Use a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution once a day and spritz the seed every time you re-moisten. You can also use a mixture of 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 32 parts water to improve your plants’ root system.

Remove yellowing from lace curtains or tablecloths. Fill a sink with cold water and a 2 cups of 3% hydrogen peroxide. Soak for at least an hour, rinse in cold water and air dry.

Use it to remove ear wax. Use a solution of 3% with olive or almond oil. Add a couple drops of oil first then H2O2. After a few minutes, tilt head to remove solution and wax.

Helps with foot fungus. Spray a 50/50 mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water on them (especially the toes) every night and let dry. Or try soaking your feet in a peroxide solution to help soften calluses and corns, and disinfect minor cuts.

Spray down the shower with hydrogen peroxide to kill bacteria and viruses.

Use 1 pint of 3% hydrogen peroxide to a gallon of water to clean humidifiers and steamers.

Wash shower curtains with hydrogen peroxide to remove mildew and soap scum. Place curtains in machine with a bath towel and your regular detergent. Add 1 cup full strength 3% hydrogen peroxide to the rinse cycle.

Use for towels that have become musty smelling. 1/2 cup Peroxide and 1/2 cup vinegar let stand for 15 minutes wash as normal. Gets rid of the smell.

Use hydrogen peroxide to control fungi present in aquariums. Don’t worry, it won’t hurt your fish. Use sparingly for this purpose.

De-skunking solution. Combine 1 quart 3% H2O2, 1/4 cup baking soda, 1 teaspoon Dawn dish detergent, 2 quarts warm water.

According to research, skinny jean wearers could be risking their health all in the name of fashion. Experts claimed that the trousers may cause users to develop meralgia paresthetica, a chronic neurological disorder.

“This disorder occurs when one of the nerves on the outer part of the thigh compresses and pressure on in causes symptoms of tingling and numbness and pain,” said Dr Karen Boyle, a urologic surgeon from Washington DC.


Other symptoms include occasional aching in the groin area or pain spreading across the buttocks, a burning sensation in the thighs as well as hypersensitivity to heat.

“One woman described it as a floating sensation when she was walking; her thighs felt week and tingly and she got pain in the thighs,” Boyle added.

She added that the popular combination of skinny jeans and ultra-high heels increases the chances of developing meralgia paresthetica.

“Because the pelvis tilts it can further accentuate the pressure that’s placed on those nerves,” she explained.

If not corrected the condition can become serious and potentially lead to permanent damage.


In severe cases, surgery may be needed to decompress the nerve or as a last resort to remove it. The latter treatment results in permanent numbness in the area.

But their effects in the organism were so devastating, that it was discontinued, because of the high index of cases of migraines, cerebral tumors and diseases of the liver that was evident in the soldiers who consumed it.

And in spite of it, in the can of RED BULL you can still find as one of its components: GLUCURONOLACTONE, categorized medically as a stimulant. But what it does not say on the can of RED BULL are the consequences of its consumption, and that has forced a series of WARNINGS…
1. It is dangerous to take it if you do not engage in physical exercise afterwards, since its energizing function accelerates the heart rate and can cause a sudden attack.
2. You run the risk of undergoing a cerebral hemorrhage, because RED BULL contains components that dilute the blood so that the heart utilizes less energy to pump the blood, and thus be able to deliver physical force with less effort being exerted.
3. It is prohibited to mix RED BULL with alcohol, because the mixture turns the drink into a ” Deadly Bomb ” that attacks the liver directly, causing the affected area never to regenerate anymore.
4. One of the main components of RED BULL is the B12 vitamin, used in medicine to recover patients who are in a coma ; from here the hypertension and the state of excitement which is experienced after taking it, as if you were in a drunken state.
5. The regular consumption of RED BULL triggers off symptoms in the form of a series of irreversible nervous and neuronal diseases.

Claims:
Red Bull was never intended to be consumed as a soda.

Deaths
Energy drinks such as Red Bull and Monster Energy have continued to receive bad publicity. Consider:

A 2009 UK incident in which a young woman died because heart condition “may have been triggered” by Red Bull, among other health factors.
A Decmeber 2011 incident in which a 14-year old girl drank two 24-ounce Monster Energy drinks, totaling 480mg of caffeine. She went into cardiac arrest and later died. The girl had a common pre-existing heart condition. The cause of death was listed as, “cardiac arrhythmia due to caffeine toxicity.”
Canadian health officials reported in 2012 that energy drinks caused 3 deaths and led to serious health problems in 35 others over a 9-year period.
An FDA report in 2012 stated that over an 8-year period, Red Bull had been mentioned in 21 reports filed with the agency. That doesn’t mean Red Bull was the cause, but merely that it was mentioned.
The FDA also reported in October of 2012 that Monster Energy was cited in 5 fatality reports. This doesn’t mean it was responsible, but merely mentioned in the accounts.
Caffeine
Healthy adults tolerate rather high quantities of caffeine quite well. Those with underlying health problems, such as heart conditions, may be susceptible to increased risks with higher levels. Children and adolescents, however, may be more susceptible to side effects of high quantities of caffeine.


Taurine
This amino acid has been the subject of debate for years, and its effects still aren’t fully known. Countries such as Denmark, Norway, and France have cited concerns about this ingredient, based on some studies which pointed to synthetic taurine as a possible cause of such problems as high blood pressure, strokes, seizures, and heart disease. France. Red Bull was banned in its original recipe until 2008 due to health concerns about the ingredient taurine (not caffeine, as some sites report, because a caffeinated version was sold in France without taruine). Prior to 2008, it was sold with a recipe omitting taurine. A 2004 attempt to overturn the ban failed.

Bottom Line

There is some truth that large quantities of caffeine found in energy drinks can be a health concern to some people – especially children and teens. The warning being circulated online, however, contains additional information which is a mixture of exaggeration and complete falsehoods.

Thank you for submitting your question. As a Registered Dietitian for 15 years with a Master's of Science in Foods and Nutrition, you are welcome to eat fruit after a meal that contains protein and very little carbohydrate to fit in the carbohydrate from fruit. It's best to eat fruit that is high in fiber, I call it "S and S fruits" (edible skin and edible seeds) fruit for more satisfaction and a slower digestion, fiber slows the absorption of the sugar in the fruit, helping you feel fuller longer. Carbohydrate foods including fruit, starch and dairy (milk and yogurt) are digested more quickly than protein. That's why I recommend eating fruit or any other high fiber carb (yams, whole grains, artichokes, etc.) with a dietary protein (which takes 4 to 5 hours to digest) to help you feel more sustained after eating (about 4 to 5 hours of sustainability). It's best to eat within an hour and half after waking and every 4 to 5 hours max throughout the day. Give yourself an hour and a half to 2 hours to digest before you go to sleep.

Every food needs to be digested to be utilized in the body. It's a good thing to have the fruit slowed down in regards to digestion from the fiber and the protein to help you feel fuller longer, it will not be fermented in your body, it will be utilized. Drink lots of water and take probiotics to help your body increase nutrient absorption.
Bottom line: eating a meal with high carbohydrates (pasta, bread or starchy vegetables) and then having fruit after that, I do not recommend, because that is overloading in calories which is not helpful for keeping a lean body and preventing disease. The whole concept of not eating fruit after a meal does help prevent overload. I do not recommend eating as much fruit as you want, since it does contain carbohydrate calories (1/2 cup fruit = 15 grams or carbs and 60 calories), excess fructose is excess calories (increasing body fat), excess fructose also increases LDL (bad cholesterol) (increasing risk for heart disease), and overworks the pancreas, stimulating excess insulin production, which increases risk for diabetes.

Dr. Roth says, “The straw allows food dyes to bypass teeth altogether”.

To unravel the science behind sobbing, Cara Santa Maria spoke with expert Dr. William H. Frey, who also serves as director of the Alzheimer's Research Center at the Health Partners Institute for Education and Research in St. Paul, Minn. He explained that not all tears are the same.
                     Many animals cry as an emotional response, but humans are the only species on the planet that create tears when crying. Crying also appears to alleviate stress, as 85% of women and 73% of men feel better after crying
